Answers to the questions we hear most often.
Not in critical production. AuraPOS is in BETA: the application is suitable for evaluating features, configuring your shop, and running tests, but we do not recommend using it as your primary register for real commercial operations until the stable version is released. Keep your current system running in parallel until the official launch.
Not yet officially — the SPF Finances certification process is under way. Technically, the obligations are implemented: Belgian VAT (21%, 12%, 6%, 0%), legal cash rounding to the nearest €0.05 (December 2024), continuous invoice numbering, daily Z report, accounting export. The SCE/FDM (Black Box) module has been built in since 0.9.11 in simulated mode. Official compliance (with certificate) will be announced when the stable version is released, once certification is granted. Until that approval is granted, do not use AuraPOS as your primary register in regulated HORECA establishments.
The Peppol BIS 3.0 module is built into AuraPOS, but it is deliberately DISABLED during the beta phase. It will be enabled in the stable version (release), in time for the Belgian deadline of 01/01/2026 (mandatory electronic B2B invoicing). At that point, you'll be able to configure your country-specific Endpoint ID (CBE/VAT for BE, KvK/BTW for NL, RCS/VAT for LU, etc.) directly in the settings.
AuraPOS is in beta: version 0.9 is free for 30 days after installation, no sign-up required. Once the beta ends, annual licenses will be offered at a price affordable for Belgian SMEs. Beta users will receive preferential terms.
Yes. The multi-register mode allows you to have a master register (with local PostgreSQL) and several slave registers connected on the same network. Stock, sales, customers and users are synced in real time across all registers.
Any standard ESC/POS thermal printer (USB or IP on port 9100), Cashdro and Glory CI-10 automatic cash recyclers, and USB barcode scanners. AuraPOS runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Yes. A daily backup is created automatically (the 10 most recent are kept) and a weekly backup is retained for 7 years, in line with Belgian accounting requirements. One-click restore from the settings.
