Introduction to AuraPOS
AuraPOS is a Windows point-of-sale (POS) software designed for retailers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. It runs in single-register mode (one register, local SQLite database) or multi-register mode (multiple registers sharing a PostgreSQL server).
Who AuraPOS is for
- Small retail shops: bakeries, grocers, neighborhood stores
- Restaurants & hospitality: fast checkout, daily Z report
- Multi-register stores: several registers synced in real time
What AuraPOS does
- Process sales with customizable payment methods (cash, Bancontact, Visa, etc.)
- Print thermal receipts (ESC/POS over USB or IP)
- Generate A4 invoices compliant with Belgian standards
- Manage a product catalog with photos, barcodes, multi-pricing (up to 4 tiers)
- Track customers with pricing profile and history
- Close the day with an automatic Z report
- Back up data automatically (daily + weekly)
- Check for updates automatically via GitHub
Current status: BETA
AuraPOS is in beta 0.9.x. The application is suitable for:
- Evaluating features
- Configuring your shop
- Running tests with real data
But must not be used in critical production until the stable version is released. See the legal notice for details.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended for multi-register)
- 200 MB of free disk space
